Yearly commute into the office, 2kg of sweets delivered for colleagues. Seems I brought the rain.
Flying back to UK in 2 weeks, probably be a bit more knowledgeable about bourbon than before.

In fairness, Kentucky is a good place to learn about bourbon.NotThatBen wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 10:42 am Yearly commute into the office, 2kg of sweets delivered for colleagues. Seems I brought the rain.

Just remember Louisville’s unofficial motto: fast women, beautiful horses and strong whiskey.NotThatBen wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 10:42 am Yearly commute into the office, 2kg of sweets delivered for colleagues. Seems I brought the rain.

Non-Kentucky bourbon is heresy and an affront to God.jemhouston wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 4:26 pm Bourbon is defined by Federal Law. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bourbon_whiskey

I'd argue, but I'm driving through Tennessee and Kentucky this fall. They can give us Irish lesson on how to hold grudges.Johnnie Lyle wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 5:11 pmNon-Kentucky bourbon is heresy and an affront to God.jemhouston wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 4:26 pm Bourbon is defined by Federal Law. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bourbon_whiskey

Hatields and McCoys for starters. Everytime I sniff a bottle of Makers it takes me home. I'll be there sometime in March to visit mom, maybe I'll go to Makers Mark distillery while I'm home.jemhouston wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 8:45 pmI'd argue, but I'm driving through Tennessee and Kentucky this fall. Work colleague has a makers mark bourbon distillery tour lined up.
Plus an increasing number of guns.
Culturally I think I fit in well with the new team
Note, interesting Scandinavian / Sliders pub they have here, good food and good beer.
