NEWS: @SpaceX's Starlink is quietly preparing to incorporate quantum communication technologies into its systems.
Quantum communication promises unhackable and superfast internet connections!
- The technology utilizes quantum mechanics principles like quantum entanglement.
- Integration could redefine global connectivity and enhance @Starlink’s leadership in communications.
- Potential impact includes advancements in national security and data encryption standards.
- SpaceX has not yet made official announcements, though trials may commence soon.
Industry insiders speculate that this pivot toward quantum internet could further establish Starlink as a leader in next-generation communications, influencing everything from national security frameworks to everyday data encryption standards.
If achieved, the potential ripple effects of a Starlink-enhanced quantum network could redefine how we perceive and interact with digital connectivity across the world.

Re: SpaceX 2024
I was watching a video on the Dragon capsule separating from the 2nd stage where we’ve all seen a panel floating away.
This is described as the panel “liberating”
The language used by SpaceX is hilarious at times.
We’ve been introduced to RUD (Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly) when the vehicle catastrophically blows into smitherines.
Now what we in US military aviation have referred to as Things Falling Off Aircraft are now parts “liberating”
Rapid Unscheduled Liberation- RUL ?
I look forward to the next introduction in space exploration of language (SEL)

I think the Cornfield Bomber called pilot ejection “liberating.”Nightwatch2 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 9:26 pm I was watching a video on the Dragon capsule separating from the 2nd stage where we’ve all seen a panel floating away.

It is more and more appearing that SpaceX is going to re-use Booster-14 from test flight-7 for test flight-9.

Booster re-use of Super-Heavy or Fram-2?

Re: SpaceX 2024
I don't understand why reusing Booster-14 from test flight-7 for test flight-9 is important enough to warrant specific mention. They've been reusing boosters for years now. What is going on that makes this particular reuse of booster 14 so important?
I strongly suspect there's information here that I am missing.

It's the first time a Superheavy booster is being reused. There's a world of difference between a Falcon 9 booster and one of these.Belushi TD wrote: ↑Wed Apr 02, 2025 12:36 pm I don't understand why reusing Booster-14 from test flight-7 for test flight-9 is important enough to warrant specific mention. Size matters. The Super Heavy booster alone has more mass at lift-off than the entire Saturn-V Rocket.Belushi TD wrote: ↑Wed Apr 02, 2025 12:36 pm I don't understand why reusing Booster-14 from test flight-7 for test flight-9 is important enough to warrant specific mention.
