Major Daemon Groups:
There are three major circles.

American Circle, Nefertiti's group, the largest, most prosperous and most powerful. Based in Washington but extending across North America. Has around 6,000 members of whom the vast majority are just average citizens leading a relatively normal life except for having to change identities every few decades.

Asian Circle, Suriyothai's group, the second largest with around 4,000 members based in Bangkok but extending across Asia with members as far afield as India and the Philippines. A much more "aristocratic" group with its membership concentrated (for demographic reasons) in the higher echelons of society. In some ways, a more powerful group than the Washington Circle because Suriyothai and a few others hold power directly rather than influencing from behind the scenes.

Geneva Orchestra, Loki's group, based in Geneva but extending across Europe. At around 2,000 members it is the smallest and weakest of the three major groups, not least because it has got caught moving the wrong way a couple of times and has lost members, most notably during The Big One. Its presence is mostly commercial, Loki is an expert commodity trader and the group is quite wealthy.
In addition there are some smaller groups.

The Path who are centered in the Amerindian community and are associated with (and being absorbed by) the Washington Circle. They have about a dozen demonic members, some of whom are quite young) but their distinguishing feature is that they are known to the wider Amerindian community even though nobody in that community has ever said anything about them to outsiders. Known members are the females Sacagawea (Raven), Kai of Naschitti (Kai Green Rocks), and Amanda Thunderhead. The males are Menewa and Five Elks.

Piccadilly Circus A British group who are an offshoot of the Washington Circle. When the Nefertiti circle left the UK for America, some British members decided to stay put and form their own group. They later became associated with the Geneva Orchestra and are its claim to political pull. Its members are generally found in the armed forces, Civil Service, academia, and other public services; though some may have worked in The City and industry; because they have found that these are the easiest places to hide. It is difficult to hide in a bureaucratic society unless you are the bureaucrats. There was also a great deal of scope for a daemon to disappear by changing posts, or when the Empire was still a going concern, disappear off to Nairobi, New Delhi, or Canberra for a few years. Quite a few of them will have been District Officers in Africa, or political residents in the smaller Indian princely states at some point. Career paths of the female members were a bit more limited, until recently. Most tended to become teachers, or secretaries, and typists in the Civil Service. By the latter half of the 20th Century, though, there are equivalents to Sergeant-Major Harper in the ATS and WRAC, at least until the latter is fully integrated into the rest of the army, whereupon they probably end up in whatever regiment or corps suits their particular specialization. There are also eventually female equivalents to Sir Humphrey. The greatest attrition that the Piccadilly Circus suffered was during the Great War. At least a dozen members were killed (two died aboard the battlecruisers at Jutland), several more were killed in WW2. Few have died since the war, but a few have succumbed to accidents, and one who was an Ammunition Technical Officer was killed while defusing a bomb in Cyprus. Fortunately, many more daemons have emerged in the UK to take their place. Their key importance is that they act as a bridge between the Washington and Geneva groups who, due to personal tensions between the leaderships of those groups, don't get on very well.

The Kempeitai A Japanese group about which little is known. Think about the reputation of the Kempeitai though and you get the mentality of these guys. Intensely nationalistic. They're wild cards.

The Walkers A random assortment of "Others" numbering around 3,000 in total who find membership of a fixed group irksome and have chosen to wander around from place to place and profession to profession. We've met some of these, Miyamato Musashi, Sir John Hawkwood, Conrad Lorentz for example.

I must stress that the majority of demons are not in any position of power or influence, they just try to live in the shadows without attracting any attention.

The Piccadilly Circus
The Piccadilly Circus was formed in 1755 when the group of long-lived centered on Nefertiti, Parmenio et al then living in Avebury pulled up stumps and headed for the Americans. Most went to the Americans including some of the British recruits but a significant number (about 25) remained in the UK. Their number peaked at 40 but they lost ten of their number in the First World War (including five on the battlecruiser Queen Mary) and five more in the Great Influenza.
