My wife and I are going to be in Savannah from September 13 to the 17th and I'm looking for ideas of stuff to do.
Anyone know how long Old Fort Jackson will take to see it all?

Going to be in Savannah in September
Re: Going to be in Savannah in September
Go figure. I moved away from Savannah last weekend after living there 18 years and now someone comes to visit
We took our son to Fort Jackson for a birthday party a couple years ago. If I remember it all right, took me an hour and a half or so to walk around and see stuff while the kids were busy. But perhaps we didn't see the whole thing, either. And I walk and read fast.
Fort Pulaski is just down the road and I think they have a little more over there.
Don't miss the Mighty 8th museum, either.
There is a chance I'll be around sometime in that week if you'd like to meet up for a beer or something. In fact I'll see what I can do to arrange that...

We're doing the preliminary planning over the next couple days. Meeting up for a beer has made the list. Forts Jackson and Pulaski were already on the list. Fortunately, I also read and walk fast. My wife relies on me to read the stuff and tell her what's nifty about it. I suspect the choice is going to come down to either the mighty 8th museum or the forts. We're disinterested in spending 35 bucks a night to park the rental car, so we're likely to return the car and take a cab back to the hotel.gtg947h wrote: ↑Fri Aug 15, 2025 1:44 am Go figure.
