Planes collide at French airshow

Post by Nathan45 »

Two planes collided during practice at a airshow. 2 pilots and one passenger ejected, apparently no one killed, one pilot is in hospital.

...The passenger has quite the story now. Not only got the ride, but gets a tie from Martin-Baker.

They're flying in Alpha jets, so the planes at least are no big loss.

Johnnie, given everything crazy that's happened over the last 8 years I'm very happy to not have to mark off zombie apocalypse off my bingo card.

So far at least

It was daylight out, so that eliminates most types of vampires. Since it was in France, Draugrs are possible, but not likely. They were pilots, so Liques are possible.

Banshees are normally female.

I'm ruling out Mummies and ghosts.

Are you being sexist as well as undead-ist? There's nothing to say that the pilots couldn't be female and Banshee.

Also, you need to expand your candidate field to include parts of Northern Africa, the Vietnam area, and portions of northern South America. Basically, any of old colonial French possessions since they've gotten considerable immigration from those areas.

Since it wasn't mentioned, anyone being female, I ruled them out. I was just going by the likely European ones. Most of the rest seem to be variations of ghosts.

I was just pulling your chain a bit. I agree that the probability of either of the pilots being female is vanishingly small.

Differently-alive, they prefer to be known as.

Unless you’re talking about my wife’s grandmother, in which case she is actually still alive, despite many wishes to the contrary.

Oh crap.

Does that count as CFIT?

Glad the pilot's not dead. Hope he gets better soon.

Is it a statistical blip, or is this more crashes than normal for an air show?

Thankfully we don’t have a big enough data set to answer that question.
