So they had an intense car chase in Paris, it ended with the car being chased crashing into a street light. But then one, two, and finally three police cars winds up crashing into the chased car. With some notable time intervals between crashes.
I think the police there might want to invest in both some high speed driving lessons and upgraded brakes for their cars. Thirteen people went to hospital, of which ten were police officers. All with minor injuries.

I thought they only went that hard in LA.
There’s some stuff like that in general in some European countries. But I’ve never seen something like this where three cop cars smash into one another in this fashion.

That speaks of gross incompetence on the part of the police drivers. I think those police drivers of the second and third vehicles need to be looking for another job.

Glad everybody's okay....but my first thought at that pic was that somebody was filming a Pink Panther reboot.
Slightly irrelevant but at least here in the People's Republic the police fit light truck tires to their patrol cars. That's about a 20% grip deficit.
The other thing is that are still taught the shuffle method of steering, with hilarious consequences during their high speed training courses on racing circuits.
Looks to me like they were in an extremely limited sightline street, and going about 3 or 4 times faster than was even remotely safe. THat would explain why the first one slammed into the fleeing car. I can almost see why the second cop car slammed into the first. Still in hot pursuit and so forth.
THere's no excuse for the third cop car to hit the first two, thirty seconds or so after the first impact? Idiocy or incompecence. Someone should have put out a call telling all pursuing officers that the target vehicle had crashed and they were proceeding on foor or whatever.

They may not have been able to do so due to being stunned.

These ARE French drivers we’re talking about, y’know!

The drivers of the first police car were sufficiently unstunned to get out of the car and start looking for the drivers of the other car. The cops were able to get out of the second car and join the search. I'm not willing to give them a pass on this.
However, its not my city, state or country, so I'll just end with a bit of a chuckle at the silliness of the police.

You’ve never driven around the Arc du Triomphe, have you..?
Technically it's the Place Charles de Gaulle. Also known as Etoiles due to the star in the road surface.
Never driven there but I've seen it plenty of times. The latest wheeze appears to be installing a new set of bollards to greatly narrow the junctions number of lanes. Quite the difference on Streetview.
