Things to Watch.....

Post by MikeKozlowski »

....Going Dutch: Fox - Dennis Leary does a surprisingly spot-on turn as a muy macho US Army cav type who unfortunately unloaded on his superiors on combat cam. His punishment is to take over USAG Stroopendorf, officially described as 'the least important base in the United States Army ", until he gets the hint and retires.

It's very much Sitcom Military (TM) but I enjoy it. It's got the standard funny soldier tropes (hyper competent XO, larcenous supply sergeant, complete screw up, JO with a heart of gold) and I think they do an entertaining job. It's on Fox, so catch it soon before they Firefly it.

Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl: Netflix - I start grinning from ear to ear when I hear that goofy theme music, and with this one I didn't stop laughing until it was over. All the W&G movies are joyful, but this one is the most flat-out bonkers one yet. You should watch W&G: The Wrong Trousers first, if you haven't seen it, but it's not 100% needed. Just pull up a seat and enjoy.

Craig,

There's no penguin in that movie, just a chicken.

Well, yes, but it's usually part of the golf course, not a stand alone.
