72' RAF Rescue Launch Finished...
This beastie fought me every inch of the way - truly weird engineering, missing parts (all of the masts are scratchbuilt), paint refusing to stick to some plastic, and so much more. But - it's done, and it stands out.
This is the end of "72' RAF Rescue Launch"....
But Mike Kozlowski will return in "Starfighter"

Nicely done.
I think we all have had kits that just don’t want to be finished.

You can say that again. On the other hand, it's prepared me for another Airfix kit in the stash, their '64 Aston Martin DB5. I've built that four - count 'em, four times - and it is an utter and complete horror.
It tasks me. It tasks me and I shall have it! I'll chase it 'round the moons of Nibia and 'round the Antares Maelstrom and 'round Perdition's flames before I give it up!

I've had a similar issue with the Accurate Miniatures 1/48 F-3F (both the -1 and -2). Getting the forward fuselage together cleanly has sent that kit to the trash 3 times so far. I've got another one sitting in the stash. It's a good looking plane and I'm determined to complete one.MikeKozlowski wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 11:17 amJohnny,Johnnie Lyle wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 1:04 am Nicely done.
