Facepalm... Deliveries.

Post by Nik_SpeakerToCats »

So, I got to wondering where the two tubes of expensive white 'exterior' glue/filler/sealant I'd ordered had got to.

Delivered today at 11:30 ??

D'uh ? I was up and about, in fact I answered door to postie soon after that.

Copy/paste lonnnng tracking number into courier's site. Recognised, but 'proof' pic is not of my house...

Not my wall, nor window-sill with parcel, nor nice vertical blinds, nor adjacent down-spout...

Courier informed by chat after struggle with phone-bot which, of course, repeatedly claimed tracking number Was Not Recognised.

They're investigating...

Let's hear it for 'Hapless Hermes', now re-branded as 'Wrong Evri Time'...

To be fair, they've improved their 'Right First Time' to ~80%, have not previously wrecked or lost another parcel this month...

Okay, I'd a Plan_B, several tubes of 'indoor' stuff for what was, after all, a dry, 'indoor' task...

But, I must be more riled than I'd thought: A dozen braw squirts in, my good caulking gun's mechanism just deformed beyond functional.
And my modest spare was, of course, 'Missing, Presumed'...

It will probably re-appear in a couple of days, after I've got my money's worth from 'rush order' replacements arriving tomorrow...

D'uh...

UPS' recruitment criteria may be faltering...

Got home from hasty shopping dash to find UPS card through door.
Blank.
No boxes ticked, no reference, nothing but card's existence : Yeah, verily, 'The Medium IS The Message'...
