I just had to cringe...

AliEx e-mail me offers from time to time.

This one made me cringe...

A 16 TB USB 3.0 thumb-drive for £_15 ( ~$_20) ??

"You cannot be serious !!!!!!"

I'm almost tempted to buy a pair, find out how many few MegaBytes they really hold...
If you cannot see the wood for the trees, deploy LIDAR.

I’ve seen some videos and such on youtube a while back investigating items like this from the Chinese sellers. IIRC they in actuality had a lot less storage space than advertised, but were usually tweaked to display the advertised amount when hooked up to a computer. More deep diving technical tactics required to find out the truth. Same thing with computer graphics cards, older/cheaper Geforce ones claiming to be something a lot more potent.

Not to mention the installed malware on Chinese products

Oh yes, that’s common too. Lots of reasons to be very careful with this stuff.
