he Palace band played 9 to 5 for Dolly, wonder if they will pay anything for Tim?

The most obvious would be something from the Rocky Horror Picture Show but an amusing one might be The Hunt For Red October....

I was assuming the reference was to another famous Home Alone 2 actor in his 80s?

We can add 'Transformers' Peter Cullen Voice of Optimus Prime Dead at 85 to the Grim Reaper list.

It’s quite sad to see Dolly Parton, Tim Curry, and Peter Cullen go. Dolly was of course Dolly, so universally beloved by absolutely everyone. Tim was an absolutely hilarious person, and his cut scene acting in Red Alert 3 is superb in its unbeatable campiness. Peter was Optimus to multiple generations of kids, and there is a lingering sliver of one’s childhood that went away with him.

Man, not Optimus as well.

Seeing Optimus die as a kid in the Transformers movie was very traumatic, it was the red wedding for a entire generation of 10 year olds. Looking back at it now, I'm cool with it, he went out a hero saving everyone else. Brawn getting killed by one shot without even fighting back though still enrages me.

I think I was just a bit too young for that one; saw the cartoon series but I don't think I ever saw the movie.

The band of the Coldstream Guards take a moment to honor Dolly outside of Buckingham Palace:

Westray: That this is some sort of coincidence. Because they don't really believe in coincidences. They've heard of them. They've just never seen one.

For me it was my favourite Ironhide taking an execution style shot to the back of the head... Damn that messed me up!

Megatron is huge and there was plenty of him to still aim at even with hot rod "in the way".

Prime should have taken the shot.

Plus all the dilly dallying before it, hesitating with megatron fake pleading.

So even though it was a real gut punch to see Prime leave us....even as a kid I felt he pretty much brought it all on himself by being stupid in critical moment. I mean its megatron we're talking about here and there is a huge backdrop of experience prime now has with him.

I mean I'd just watched Ironhide go down with his chest plate blown away, explosions coming out his back... and I remember thinking "he could still be repaired..." and then... boom. cannon at point blank range to the back of the head. I was pretty much devastated!
