Re: The Reflecting Pool
So, how is the War on Algae going? I'm guessing that POTUS will be signing some sort of MoU with the algae at some point in which the algae receives some concessions, which is spun as a win for the Administration?
@pdf27, have you seen Trump's response to the Amphifa frog? He went off on Truth Social in only the way he can. Streisand Effect are the words that come to mind!
@Paul, I'm surprised that isn't real! Well, maybe not yet!

Yes, having a wonderful time, except when the Park Service Police and National Guard apparently threaten them with arrest for putting their hands in the pool!

Re: The Reflecting Pool
They seem to have been slow in releasing the footage.

Re: The Reflecting Pool
Only footage I've seen is from a great distance away and you can't see anything in their hands (footage too grainy) - if you've got better footage I'd be curious to see it.Nightwatch2 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2026 2:47 pmwith knives in their hands….

Trump was previously boasting it couldn't be cut with a knife....a good line of questioning would be the person who said let's drive a presidential motorcade over the lining.

He also said it was cut with a knife, so I'm confused.
Might it have been him who suggested driving over it?

Re: The Reflecting Pool
I haven’t seen the footage but the reporting from somewhere (obvious caveat applies) is that there is video of people deliberately vandalizing the Reflecting Pool.Pdf27 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2026 6:12 pmOnly footage I've seen is from a great distance away and you can't see anything in their hands (footage too grainy) - if you've got better footage I'd be curious to see it.Nightwatch2 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2026 2:47 pmwith knives in their hands….

Point being is that is not exaggerated nor are the people being detained simply because they put their hands in the pool.
The “Pro-Algae” demonstrations are particularly obvious and obnoxious.
Now, this being the humor page - can we go back to the memes and jokes? They are all pretty funny.

Although I’m not familiar with “Imperial March at the Pool”
how does that flow?
Re: The Reflecting Pool
Released footage shows someone reaching into the water past their elbow, possibly retrieving something from the water.Nightwatch2 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2026 9:39 pmI haven’t seen the footage but the reporting from somewhere (obvious caveat applies) is that there is video of people deliberately vandalizing the Reflecting Pool.Pdf27 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2026 6:12 pmOnly footage I've seen is from a great distance away and you can't see anything in their hands (footage too grainy) - if you've got better footage I'd be curious to see it.Nightwatch2 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2026 2:47 pmwith knives in their hands….
