I'm not a huge fan of John Williams samey same music, he's got 5 so far! Schindler's List is fine. Got the wrong Rodrigo, should have had the Brassed Off version. We had a bet on where One hit wonder's Canon would come in 42, as it happens. So it's going to be a lot of Mozart Haydn Handel Beethoven Tchaikovsky and hopefully some Bach in the remaining 39. Flower duet, song to the moon, ave maria (various versions) Vivaldi's Gloria should also be in there. Richter's 4 seasons beat Vivaldi's !

If you knock out most of the Williams, the dragons one, and Westlake then you've got 7 spots available for proper music (Haydn Brahms Shostakovich for example, tho personally they wouldn't make my list, Glass and Rossini would) . I'm amazed Game of Thrones didn't get up (it shouldn't), and Saint Saens gets 3 .Satie was left field. Ludwig at #1 and #2 is taking the Mickey. I suspect that Gabriel's Oboe is a sly joke - it won the film music 100, and a couple of the presenters subsequently tried to rerun the poll to get it changed, and failed.

I should wait til Friday when they release the 101-200 list. The problem I have with Williams' marches is that they are just about indistinguishable. Splitting the 4 seasons up into separate movements is a good way of boosting Vivaldi's count, but leaves Ludwig unassailable. No Ave Maria.
