The Collapse of the Third Republic
Hello, all.
I picked up a hardback copy of "The Collapse of the Third Republic" by William L Shirer back in February from a discard pile at University of Maine Farmingham. Its written by the same guy who wrote "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich"
I have read it, and while its got all kinds of interesting details about the Third Republic of France from its inception in 1870 after the Franco Prussian war to its demise in 1940 after the armistice at the end of the Battle of France, its almost 950 pages long, and I don't have room to store it.
Anyone want it?

Ok, Johnnie, you're the only one to express interest. PM me your address, and I'll get it in the mail probably this weekend.

Sorry, Nightwatch2. Johnnie got there first. Maybe, if you're nice to him, once he's done reading it, he'll pass it on to you!

I have one. It's a depressing read but an informative one. Oh, the many, many missed opportunities.

And the manner in which they missed the opportunities is just oh, so French.
