Interesting... I'm curious about counter arguments but they do make a pretty good case there.

The counter arguments I can think of mainly revolve around “no smoking gun”.

The ham radio log from Florida was 95% conclusive to me.

FWIW, a gentleman I know (He's a fellow IPMS member) got Discovery Channel to actually finance a trip to New Guinea to search for Amelia. The result was Finding Amelia, which I think is still available on Discovery.

I can't tell you much more about it, because that would give away his theory....but he makes a damned good case. He did find one long missing aircraft that was flown on an MoH mission and as far as I'm concerned that justified it right there. In any event, check it out.
