Jared "Rook" Isaacman has been re-nominated for NASA Administrator. His nomination should never have had been pulled but I am glad to see he is back. Hopefully the Senate will not make him re-do his hearings. Previously he had already passed through the committee and was ready for a full Senate vote.

He wanted to keep or increase NASA's funding, and stated such the day after Trump's proposal to cut NASA's budget in half. That, Issac's history of also donating to Democratic nominees, and the then-ongoing feud with Musk resulted in Trump pulling the nomination.

Isaacman has a history of donating to both parties and Trump was well aware of this when he nominated Isaacman.

What Isaacman said was the proposed budget cuts "suboptimal" and concern. However his biggest focus was on making the agency more efficient and overhauling of how existing funds are allocated and utilized.
