Leopard 2A7 for Norway

The Norwegian government today announced that Norway will buy 54 Leopard 2A7 from Germany, with option for 18 more. The Leopard 2A7 won out over the South Korean K2 Black Panther. The new tanks will replace Norway's fleet of Leopard 2A4 (36 operational and 16 more in storage) that Norway bought secondhand from the Netherlands about 20 years ago. First delivery is expected in 2026.
