Regrettably expected.

I first heard Black Sabbath in the early '70s and they have remained one of my favourite bands. They last came down under in 2016 and that was one of the best concerts I have been to.

Ozzy was somewhat singular and he and his band were instrumental in the early days of heavy metal.

RIP Ozzy.

I have a friend who is a musician and very much a fan of the classic hard rock stuff, we were talking about Ozzy a short while ago when the farewell gig for Black Sabbath was held. He’s going to be very bummed over this.

Grew up in the 80s, never liked his music, I was a Weird Al fan (no I've never been married, why do you ask?) But my Brother was a fan, I got exposed to his music a lot. Shame to see him go, but we all gotta go sometime. RIP.

My cousins introduced me to his and Alice Cooper's music in the late 60s. Saw him in concert in 1982 at the Boston Garden. GREAT show! Truly an icon of the 60s-70s-80s hard rock scene. RIP, Ozzy

I'm amazed Ozzy made it to 76, good on him. As to Keef I've just read his (ghosted) autobiography, called Life. Rather a good read.

A line from a Motorhead song - "they proved me right, they proved me wrong, but they could never last this long". As it turned out Ozzy outlived Lemmie. Keef and Iggie would survive nuclear armageddon.

Thing is that Weird Al could likely do a creditable job of spoofing Black Sabbath/Ozzy Osbourne music! After all this is the guy who at various points has spoofed The Kinks, Don Mclean, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Backstreet Boys, Lady Gaga, Nirvana, Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus, U2 and Coolio!

We knew it was coming, it's still a bummer. I been a Sabbath/Ozzy fan since I first heard them in the early 70s. I saw Sabbath a couple times after Ozzy left and Ozzy once shortly after Randy Rhoads died.

Damn, as a 80s child Hogan was iconic. Accepting wrestling was fake was bitter pill for a generation of kids back then. Basically finding out Santa Claus isn't real for older kids.

Well, they come in sets of 3, so im dreading who's next.

...A question for the Cousins - Ozzy did some pretty good things in the last part of his life, and his last gift was a $200M donation to charity from the final concert. Is there any standing at all for a posthumous award, such as an OBE?
