Not sure how to interpret this gift

Post by Micael »

So my boss in the military gave me an old army whistle with the three crowns on it. Not sure how I should interpret this, am I supposed to embrace a WWI trench warfare leadership style now?
(I guess I need to get a hold of one of those British officer sticks.)

Now don't be knocking an officer's stick. The make very nice poking sticking sticks, for poking at things that you don't want to poke with your finger.

A good poking stick is an essential tool for anyone wanting to do SCIENCE!

They’re canes, not sticks.

A proper silver-topped, leather-bound rattan is a beautiful thing. One can use it to indicate (YOU THERE! THAT MAN!), gesture, swipe at weeds (who doesn’t like swiping at weeds?), dish out ad hoc corporal punishment.

Embrace the cane. I have a lovely one.
