Western diamondback.
And these aren't that bad. They tend to give warning.
The bigger pain are the little corners and crevices that hide black widows.

Sierra Vista, Arizona. 70 miles southeast of Tucson. 15 miles from the Mexican border. As Kdahm said, Western diamondback. About 4 feet long.

....Oddly, we had a good-sized blacksnake in the yard this morning here. Is this an omen or a portent? Asking for a friend.

Snakes are good, and they indicate the environment is in decent shape. I'd say that's a good sign.

We like snakes, and had this one relocated. The fire dept. came out and took it out to the desert and released it.
