AI Draws British Aircraft....

For instance, this is what it threw up when asked for a Mosquito:

And it gets worse.

Much, much worse.

  1. What do you expect from AI?
  2. The real aircraft designs were no better. For instance the Scimitar was originally designed around a 4.5" gun - take that the A-10!

Okay…

AI can‘t draw hands, feet and…aircraft, apparently.

The coding for that AI is beyond redemption. Nuke it from Orbit!

It’s getting better at some of the art, though.

The image generators I've been playing with the last week of so isn't very good at cars either. They are generally recognizable but then you get the ones with 3 headlights or 5 wheels..

Playground actually did pretty good with the Spirfire and P51 (if you ignore the weird markings) but the Avro Lancaster has 3 tails, four wings and one engine facing backwards. And totally missed on the F8 Crusader and F7U Cutlass.

Overall, it's not especially bad. I mean, it's got a single prop engine, roughly oval wings, cockpit is somewhere near the right position, and the tailfeathers aren't vomit-worthy.

Sure, it's too big, the prop itself is borked, the shape of the canopy is taken off a German fighter, the drop tanks are horrible, there are two tailwheels, and the proportions are bletcherous. But what can be expected from an artificially created image at this point in time?
