My house didn't want me to go on vacation
Friday morning my daughter called us to inform us the water heater shit the bed. Approximately 30 gallons of water leaked out and overwhelmed the drip pan causing flooding in an upstairs bedroom and draining thru the floor to the master bedroom. With her sister they got the water and gas turned off mopped up some of the water and finally woke me up to inform me of the proceedings. Blows chunks as we just started an extended vacation (CinC House and I) visiting her family. Hell of a way to start the trip.

Things like this always seem to happen at the most inopportune times. Hope it gets sorted out without too much more trouble for you.Bob Dedmon wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2023 11:45 am Friday morning my daughter called us to inform us the water heater shit the bed. water wings? In their zeal to get things done they also hit the kill switch for the furnace, youngest informed me the next morning the house was freezing. After a little long distance trouble shooting we got things back on line. Repair estimate for the heater alone is around $2200. Need to mitigate water damage as well.MikeKozlowski wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2023 11:59 amGood Grief!
