Or at least that's what it seems like judging by my hour long commutes to the job site this week. (BTW, one day it was the SAME f-ing a$$hole who did ALL of those, consecutively!)

No, didn't forget. Most of this occurred in New York. Not that there's much of a difference between the two states with regards to driver politeness, or the lack thereof.

I hate to admit, but Texas isn't much better.

Assume every other driver is an idiot who is out to get me.

When our new lab-techs had saved enough money for formal driving lessons, I'd warn them about this.

You pick up car keys, you up-load the 'paranoid' app...

They'd laugh, giggle, or quietly remark about nervous old gits...

Next day, they'd stagger in 'white of face and wide of eyes'.

If you cannot see the wood for the trees, deploy LIDAR.

Supposedly Sacramento has some of the worst drivers in the US. If that’s not true, other parts have to be ridiculously bad. I say that having had somebody try merging through my car changing lanes when we were the only people on the road.

Rolled gold Nik!

I have seen that. Grumpy old man suddenly knows what they are talking about, once reality has smacked the under skilled over confident in the face.

Still, it is better than pulling body parts out of wrecks.
