oh dear. Neal used to be reliably entertaining, if rather long winded. He's jumped on climate porn this time, and strangely seems to have fallen in love with Royalty. It's far too long and far too smug.

This is opposed by India, whose climate will get drier, and supported by a coalition of low lying countries, as the cooling should slow sea level rising. The main Mary sue is the Queen, and then ex-Queen, of Netherlands.

Thanks for the heads up though I admit I only read his books up to and including Snow Crash.

I liked SC, Crypto, and Seven Eves in particular. I forgot to say that once all the dominoes had been put in place the last 120 pages of TS were a cracking read, and were easy to follow. It was an ideal book if you are laid up on the couch with a corked thigh!
