Passing of a friend

A former coworker and friend of mine passed away during the night. Her name was Nicole and she was only 32 years old. She had managed to get through three painful bouts with leukemia before but the fourth time proved to be too much.

She went too soon, send her a thought or a prayer if you can.

It hurts...

My beloved Kath had more 'close calls' from the 'Grim Reaper' than I care to remember. Finally, took a meds screw-up such her osteoporosis pills blocked her thyroxine, plus a second bout of hospital-acquired 'resistant' pneumonia that beat her vaccination...

There's a hole in my soul where my Kath should be,
And, when I'm feeling cheerful, I feed it worlds for tea.

Old friends used to murmur, " Yes, he's getting over it..."
Attribute any strangeness to a touch of Irish wit.

They're wrong, of course.
