Re: Yamashita on the Atomic Bomb and Future of War

What it doesn't deal with is both sides possessing nuclear weapons. That fundamentally alters the strategic and indeed even the grand strategic calculus yet again.

Re: Ozzy Osbourne has died

Grew up in the 80s, never liked his music, I was a Weird Al fan (no I've never been married, why do you ask?) But my Brother was a fan, I got exposed to his music a lot. Shame to see him go, but we all gotta go sometime. RIP. Thing is that Weird Al could likely do a creditable job of spoofing Black...

Re: Alternatives to Office 365 and Adobe acrobat

Depends on what you want to do with things? There are certain things that free alternatives do very, very well and certain things they don't. So what're the uses you need to put the software to?

Re: The Marne Was Just the Beginning: How July 15 Marked America’s Rise on the World Stage

Everything, from munitions to uniforms, trucks, and artillery, was manufactured with fantastic efficiency. This wasn't just hyperbole; it was real production. The American Expeditionary Forces were fed, armed, and clothed by an industrial base without precedent in history. Erm nope. They were NOT e...

Re: Today I Learned.....

Not convinced the 4.5" or the AS-12s would be very effective - the 4.5" shells are exactly what Belgrano 's armour scheme was designed to protect against, and AS-12s have a penetration of 20mm coupled to a very short effective range which puts the helicopters in AA range. The RN would try...

Re: The UK simulated an attack on its own air defenses based on the first night of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

It's also incorrect to do a direct comparison since the UK is hundreds of miles from Russia. So Russian land-launched ballistic missiles could not play the same part they did in Ukraine. Only Russian aircraft, Russian aircraft-launched missiles and Russian ship-launched missiles and Russian submarin...

It's competing with the original article's location, it's not transformative and therefore it automatically fails two of the four fair use tests and fails what is in ma...
