Re: Any of you lot work in IT? Cancel your weekend
My old place were told 9 months ago they had to leave a datacentre that ran most of the business critical servers including polling servers and media distribution servers. This DC had a 250Mb/s tail. They lifted and shifted the entire network/servers into their office server room. The office has a 1...

No impact.
Until someone made a change in how employee remote access authenticates.
On a Friday.
Because management pushed a project as high priority over my head.
'aving words with the Guv on Monday, I shall be.

Re: *sips his coffee, watching the rain from a hotel in Louisville’s*
Work colleague has a makers mark bourbon distillery tour lined up.
Plus an increasing number of guns.
Culturally I think I fit in well with the new team
Note, interesting Scandinavian / Sliders pub they have here, good food and good beer.

Yearly commute into the office, 2kg of sweets delivered for colleagues. Seems I brought the rain.
Flying back to UK in 2 weeks, probably be a bit more knowledgeable about bourbon than before.

Re: The 12 Best Scotch Whiskies Under $100
Connemara (I know, not Scotch) is a nice regular drinker and not to bad on the pocket. Lagavulin 16 is my special occasions whisky although on the my last day of my job (next friday) I'll be drinking Elijah Craig bourbon (also, not Scotch ... unfortunately, Scotch is a bit pricey at the moment and a...
