Here's a VF-302 Tomcat aboard the Constellation preparing to launch during CVWR-30's war cruise in 1987. During that deployment, CVWR-30 launched several strikes against the Soviet Eastern Pacific Squadron.

The Tomcat was such an ungainly looking aircraft on the ground. Sort of like when an eagle or a falcon has made a kill, and is standing on the ground protecting it from scavengers.
However, so graceful while blowing the hell out of Russian aircraft.

They pulled enough RF-8Gs out of storage to stand VFP-62 and VFP-63 up again with about twenty birds apiece, though they transitioned into the RF-18C Hornet as soon as it was declared operational and enough were available…

LANTIRN pod, he was coming back from a bombing mission. Remember that the FARM (Communist Mexican Air Force) folded pretty quickly on Day One of the Baja War…
