It was probably the only possible compromise given the views of the time.
Sadly, and this is only MHVO, the US has always been behind a lot of the rest of the West when it comes to some social issues. It's all those Puritans who fled England, because the King persecuted them didn't allow them to persecute. ;)

Maybe. As your own storied record of blackmail, perversion and murder, chronicled through public entertainment, attests to, certain elements of your society are not that far ahead of us. ;)

I think Angela Lansbury always wanted to end the series, by claiming, "Of course I killed them all."

Great work Bernard.

Minor quibble…what if the shark is in a very small lake and the only other inhabitants are a school of very hungry piranha?

They both were students at the Munich Bundeswehr University (which teaches Aeronautical and Space Engineering and Computer Science, among several others) before the balloon went up and their work was deemed critical so both were attached to a replacement bettallion and given the task to weaponize their master‘s thesis.

Good chapter!
The Bremerton Navy Yard was a busy place, with lots of torches active on the flight decks of both United States and Independence.
Err, I thought Independence partially capsized after being partially burned out?

Small nitpick:
“Sooner we're flying more, the better. And VA-215 across the base is in the same fix we are. So, we're not alone.” Said Torres.
Double check with Matt, but I think that's supposed to be VA-214.

Keep up the good work!

I think it was a successful field test, now if another unit can use it, then it's ready for prime time.

Exactly. They weren‘t talking about a presentation and the sergeant did not offer to give a glowing testimonial for s*its and giggles.
To say I wasn‘t strongly influenced by the Ukrainians' use of drones against the Russians, I would be lying. AFAIK, what I described would have been in the realm of possibility in 2005y
