It was crawled by the Wayback Machine in 2009… (!)… “You do not have permission to view this forum”

Craig, I am an old school lawyer who prefers paper documents as they do not need IT support......
I don't follow what you are doing in the last two posts.

Unless I am sorely mistaken, he's showing screen shots of the waybackmachine that have the links to the requested story and all the links end up showing "You do not have permission to view this forum"

Sorry. As Belushi says. These are screenshots of a website called the Internet Archive; it shows the site as it’s been “crawled” and archived, multiple times per year over many years. The trouble is, any thread that needed one to be logged in in order to read it (Politics, and the TBO stories sections mainly) is unavailable, as the Archiving bots weren’t logged in as users.

Thanks both.
I have some Conrad and Angel stories saved in Word format, if that helps.

YAY!!!! Thank you for posting the short stories. I've always really liked the vast majority of them.
Has anyone reached out to Stuart's estate to see about any of the rest of them?

Re: Copies of most of the stories in this forum.
Here's a request for this forum in particular.
I plan to make a post that has all of the stories linked in chronological order as I read through them. I've noticed that Calder originally posted them in chronological order, but as people comment on them, the order is being lost.
I don't think I have permissions to turn a post into a stickie, so would someone else be able to do that?
Thanks

Re: Copies of most of the stories in this forum.
It appears that both the 1955 and 1973 Civus Americanus Sum stories are identical, apart from some editing differnences. Is it possible that there's a different Civus story that was not copy pasted correctly?
Same thing with the 1978 and 1958 Unorganized Militia stories.

They are almost certainly errors on my part when joining groups of stories together. Looking around it would seem that the 1955 and 1958 are the correct ones. I will see if the admin can delete the 1973 and 1978 stories.Belushi TD wrote: ↑Sun Jan 29, 2023 12:23 am It appears that both the 1955 and 1973 Civus Americanus Sum stories are identical, apart from some editing differnences.
