This is a DC Comics origin story set in the Wuthering Heights universe, and is non-canon.

The music and songs varied from irritating to inconsequential. Martin Clunes put in the best performance of his life as Cathy's father. The pretty boy and girl are adequate, and do at least get the idea across that Cathy is a selfish little cow. The real scenery is terrific (part of my honeymoon was walking the width of the North Yorkshire Dales). The fake scenery (looming rocks etc) not so much. Linton's charge Isabella starts off as an utter nerd and is spectacularly transformed by Heathcliff/Cathy. Given that the film skips most of the book it seemed awfully long.

A couple of old biddies ahead of me on the way out liked all the fumbling, as did Nikki Gemmell in The Australian's gushing 5* review. It all seemed a bit hey ho to me.

As a bodice ripper, maybe 3*. As an adaptation of WH, 2*.
