There was 'Some Concern' recently about persistent stream of bubbles surfacing just off California coast.
Not 'bubble-netting' whales, such are obvious.
Also, no flock of opportunist sea-birds diving into corralled bait-ball...
Given the 'geological' potential hazards in area, was this a pipe-line failure ? A 'natural-gas' leak ? A 'new' volcanic vent ? Precursor to a 'Mega Thrust' event ?
Conspiracy theories abounded, too, a veritable 'Zoo of Woo'...
Turned out to be something far, far more mundane.
A fibre-optic line being laid, the beach / surf transition pipe purged !!
