I hate printers...

I hate printers.
Also scanners.
My previously placid Epson multi-function decided it needed an upgrade, refused to scan.
So, that was my afternoon and evening ruined. I ran updates, swore mightily, yet could not find how to get the [REDACTED] printer/scanner to recognise that I'd actually updated its driver etc.
Finally, resorted to basics.
Turned the device off, swore mightier, then turned it on again.
Re-booted PC.
Yes, was a full-reboot, as get Gigabyte mobo's splash page...
And now it worked...
All for three (3) copied pages for a neighbour...
