yeah knew that one already, my dad showed me with some equipment he had in dark room when i was just a kiddo lol. Totally amazed when I saw it.

Well, d'uh, have they never seen a moon-bow, or the one around a garden sprinkler ??

FWIW, may I recommend the classic, 'Rainbows, Halos and Glories' by Robert Greenler ?? (CUP)

Not cheap but, IMHO, not a wasted word, diagram or photo...

As I understand it, there are still arguments on exactly how some of the rarer, ultra-faint arcs of rain and ice bows come to be.

Also, I had fun explaining to a friend why his monochromatic 'disco' laser could not produce a multi-coloured bow... :roll: :roll:
