Quite a bizarre event over here.

Dog poo rained in Vasastan after tunnel blasting
Published at 5:45 p.m
With great force, about 50 bags of dog poo were shot into the air - and onto cars and facades. The explosion for the subway underground in Vasastan surprised everyone involved.
- It even went over the house so bags of dog poo have landed in the courtyard, says Emma Sahlman, press officer for the New Subway.

The blasts for the expansion of the subway mostly take place on a routine basis. But what happened on Wednesday evening at 9.40pm, no one could have expected. It suddenly rained dog poo over western Vasastan, which Mitt i has reported on .
- It turned out that all the way down to the tunnel there was a pipe in the ground that was not marked on maps. When we blasted, the pipe made contact with the hole. After all, there is quite a lot of pressure during an explosion, says Emma Sahlman, press officer for Region Stockholm's administration for the expanded subway.
The pipe was found to have been used to dispose of dog poo bags for a long time.

It turned out that the pipe, which is located in a small section of the park at Solvändan, was full of dog poo bags that were ejected at great speed.
- There is quite a lot of pressure during an explosion, so the bags are pushed out of the pipe. It is an extremely unexpected event, says Emma Sahlman.
It is estimated that there were about 50 bags of dog poo that then rained down on the street and the house. Cars were also hit by the bombardment of bags - and at least one car was heavily soiled.
The dog poo bags rained down the street and were even thrown over the house, says Emma Sahlman, press officer for Nya metro.

Some of the contents of the tube landed on the street right next to the tube, but some of the bags flew much further.
- It even went over the house so bags of dog poo have landed in the courtyard, says Emma Sahlman.
Was anyone hit at the time?
- No, luckily not.
Already on Thursday, one of Region Stockholm's contractors was out with staff and cleaned the sidewalk. But everything on house facades, among other things, has not yet been able to be removed - but cleanup of the area has been ordered and is to begin on Monday.
- It is a completely absurd event. Unexpected things happen and it is sometimes challenging and complicated with the subway construction. But this... no one has experienced this before, says Emma Sahlman.
So far, no one has come forward and complained, she continues. The reason may be that the administration already has good contact with the residents in the area due to the subway construction.
- Already in the morning the next day, we sent out an SMS to the local area, says Emma Sahlman.
