I'd still watch it. He'll get a great cast and it hopefully will have quality writing.

The West Wing was an idealization of the Clinton Administration. A British version would need to go back to Blair or perhaps Wilson.

The Thick Of It already did Blair, and there aren't enough alive who remember Wilson for that to work commercially.

I rewatched the entire series a couple years ago. From 2022, it was barely recognizable as a Democrat administration.
