I was coming home today from Bootle Strand 'Budget Mall' with a bulging 'chiller' bag and my sholley loaded down with cat food, orange juice etc etc...
Tow sholley from bus-stop to crossing, press button, wait...
Eventually bleeps, showing 'lights in my favour'.
I cross inner lane, warily peek around halted truck in fear of low-flying trail-bikes.
Small 'White Van' runs red, passing within an arm's length.
Didn't even swerve.
I express my displeasure loudly enough for the truck driver's expression to melt from 'horror' to huge grin...
So, if You-Tube shows his scary dash-cam footage of small white van near-missing 'Elderly Guy With Shopping Sholley', that's my fifteen seconds of fame...
