Reality doesn’t appear to be part of their calculation
I wouldn't assume that the people making the videos are the same ones responsible for grand strategy. The production values on that one for instance make it look like it was done by a 15 year old boy, which has never been a particular thoughtful demographic in any country...
The individuals making trolling videos do not concern me.

It’s the old, predominantly men, making the big decisions that concern me.

We have had far too many international crises and wars of late. That doesn’t give me much faith in the group of people making the big decisions to get this one right; especially when they screwed up many of the previous ones and don’t seem to recognize that. Doubly so when either they (Afghanistan) or their opponents (Russia/Ukraine) are smoking the good shit, or at least putting it out there for public consumption.

We’re being trolled, and the dangers here are actual wars, not flame wars. Especially if the decisions to escalate, on both sides, are being made out of ego and the belief they control the situation and can ratchet it up or down flawlessly as they desire. Or, worse, fears of weakness driving them to unnecessary actions.

Oh, I disagree 100%. 15 year old boys are CONSTANTLY thinking.

Admittedly, its usually one of only to thoughts.

1. I'm horny.
2. I'm hungry.

But they are constantly thinking.
