I’m guessing that it didn’t work.

If I remember correctly, it worked perfectly. It brought down every aircraft that tried launching it.

Hawk T.1As formed part of the Mixed Fighter Force, operating with RAF Phantoms of various marks, Tornado F.3 and Tempest FGR.1 on air defence duties. They were also used for 'point defence' CAP. Some Hawk T.1/T.1A were deployed to Canada early in the war to operate in the light-strike role. These aircraft would be replaced by the single-seat Hawk FGR.3.

A Bedford MJ lorry. These were used in large numbers by the British Army, Royal Marines and Royal Air Force. They formed the backbone of the British logistics effort. The similar MK was also used in large numbers. As of 2026, they have been replaced by more modern lorries, but some may still be held as part of reserve inventories.

Squaddies sometimes nicknamed them the Helibedford or Bedicopter when they were used to substitute for helicopters.

HMS Andromeda (F57), a broad-beamed Leander Class frigate that underwent a conversion to be armed with the Sea Wolf missile. In this shot she is missing her Exocet SSM canisters. Andromeda saw extensive service in the Third World War.

HMS Peacock (P239), a Royal Navy Patrol Vessel that formed part of the Hong Kong Squadron. The five patrol vessels of the Peacock class saw extensive service alongside modified Ton Class MCMV, providing sovereignty patrols around Hong Kong. They also combated smugglers and pirates, and helped control the flow of refugees from the ex-PRC.

British Army M110A2 203mm howitzer. These equipped 39 Heavy Regiment, Royal Artillery (the Birmingham Gunners). The regiment was initially attached to 1st Artillery Brigade, as part of 1 (Br) Corps. It was later attached to 1st Army Group, RA, directly under the command of 21st Army Group. The M110A2 were part of the BAOC's 'Sunday Punch', providing a tactical nuclear capability, alongside the Lance missiles of 50 Missile Regiment, RA. The M110A2 was also used in the conventional role with H.E shells, however the M270B1 largely replaced it in that role by the end of the war.

In Royal Artillery service the M110A2 used the following shells:

- M106 HE
- M650 HE rocket assist projectile (RAP)
- M422A1 Artillery Fired Atomic Projectile (supplied and remaining in the custody of the US Army until fired; none used)
- M426 (with both GB and VX)

Before MLRS, the "Long Reach" of the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, and the British Army.
