I would figure they radio on Guard they were coming. I don't know if they arranged with the embassy for authentic codes or not.

Keeping India neutral was important to the US.

One of the antiarmor loads that the 335th carried: this one doesn't have AIM-9 on the inboard pylon missile rails, but I have seen loads that do have the 6x Mark-20 Rockeye (or other CBUs) and the Sidewinders. This bird does have the ECM pod and should have the two AIM-7s in the aft missile wells.

Wouldn't there be another AIM-7 on the forward missile well opposite the ECM pod?

No. If launched, the missile exhaust might interfere with the pod's electronics.
