Senior Chief as retired IT Tech, I always tried bonding with the printers.
As a model builder, I always end up bonding with my subjects.
Superglue is funny that way.
Same here.
All y’all do know there have been great advances in plastic adhesives and model cements?

Johnnie,
Testor's liquid cement in the square bottle and their tube glue were the True Adhesives for those of us of a certain age, and we cherish them to pass along to the next generation,
selah.
All kidding aside, I use superglue, liquid, and tube on the same project, depending on the call for a given joint. On my Airfix Vosper Air-Sea rescue boat, I actually used all three on the hull keel joint, one of the most poorly engineered large joints I've ever seen on a kit from a major manufacturer.

And indeed in plastic explosives, for when you
really want to disbond yourself.

That’s a bit excessive.

I remember an interview with the CEO of one of the EOD bot companies in 2006. They’d have the EOD guys bring their bots to the techs in absolute tears, desperately begging the techs to heal their bots. Many of the bots had safety disarmed dozens or hundreds of bombs before being damaged, and not only did the EOD guys feel they owed the bots their lives, but had emotionally bonded with them.
I remember reading about one EOD tech who broke down sobbing when they couldn't fix "Scooby."

If they had the day off and went fishing, they always took the robot with them. They figured they needed the time off too.
