Johnnie, my problem is fine motor control not eyesight. I've decided I am not completely washed up. I'm looking at a shelf I can clean up by moving some items around, and then I have shelf space for a 1/350 ship. Could prove interesting.

Is the fine motor control harming your painting or your dexterity when building the damn things?
If you’re still able to paint but building is hard, it may be time to begin your 1/600 monitor project.

The local libraries in your area may be interested in displaying one or more of them, either on a temporary or permanent basis.
If you've got a local historical society, and can establish a link, however tenuous, with a model (local kid served on ship X, or serviced plane Y or whatever) they might be willing to as well.
Here in Jersey almost every little town has its own historical society and little museum. Quite frequently, the museums have lots of unused or wasted space. Not sure if its the same by you, but it might be worth trying. Heck, most of the counties have museums as well!
