BTW I have tried to "discuss" the conflict with an Argentinian friend .... most of the insects in my garden make more sense on the topic.

I do not know if I am supposed to laugh or just perform a nuclear facepalm. FFS!
As somebody who is both proud of his grasp of English and meticulous about its proper usage, that list is insulting.

You were generous. I’ve asked how one becomes a paid troll, which is what they’ve accused Ricky of being. On a serious note, I suggested that they might consider submitting an FOI request for any docs relating to Vinny.
If the evidence is concrete, I would surmise that it’s RAAC.

Why not go the opposite direction with this? Acknowledge the damage to the ship and then use that as an opportunity to talk about how utterly stupid and incompetent the Argentine military must have been if they couldn't stop the British from recovering the Falklands after losing half of their airpower in the area.
Talk about how this proves how amazing luckily they must have been to hit the Invincible as they barely sunk anything after that even though the British fleet has now lost half of their most effective air defense.
