Something I just remembered, about fifteen years ago, University of Iowa contacted my uncle, retired AF two star, and Iowa graduate about an oral history program about his wartime experiences. They had an option of either allowing the results to used now or sealed until they died. Since he wasn't in a combat role, he allowed used now. The DOD does have a team reviewing everything.
I'm hoping her parents can do something similar.

Seems that without a functional Air Force, Argentina is at the mercy of Chile who toady flew a helicopter into Argentinian airspace near the Roballos Pass.

And Santa is preparing to arrive here in America. Hope he's squawking modes and codes; I'd hate to be yanked out of bed at 0100 by Boss-Ma'am telling me to get over to Cheyenne Mountain and "get their s**t unf**ked NOW-NOW NOW!"
Roberta and I wrapped up the book tour in Colorado Springs, and we attended the Christmas Eve service with Tiffany and Cindy at their ELCA parish. A lovely meal followed; tomorrow, we're cooking Christmas supper for them, going caroling in their neighborhood, and then we're having microwave pizza for dinner.
We're staying at the Broadmoor, in one of the luxury suites, and my bride is now standing in the doorway to the bedroom, wearing some absolutely scandalous lingerie, and holding a sprig of mistletoe over her head.
Life is good.
Merry Christmas, one and all!

LIfe is good indeed. The kids are home, though Eric and his GF broke up recently. Melanie and Sandy brought their boyfriends, there's going to be presents galore in the morning, plenty of food, and both football and NBA Basketball. Just as long as the Jolly old guy in the sled and the reindeer has his iFF transponder working....
Merry Christmas!

You're in
Broadmoor!

Well, that's certainly a turn up for the books, Poohbah!
I remember
this song being a popular one to listen and sing along to during the war.

The Broadmoor is a luxury hotel in Colorado Springs. Among many notable things, the KGB General in charge of Colorado got a very special Christmas present in the parking lot back in 1986...someone was nice enough to give him a .300 Winchester Magnum bullet in his head...

And Boss-Ma'am has, once again, made herself somewhat notorious.
Comes to NSC meeting. Picks up coffee mug. Sips.
Gets up, spits it into the trashcan, wipes her mouth out...
And asks, "Who put maple syrup in the damn coffee?"
Suddenly Career-Limiter Staffer: "Uh, it's Maple Nut Crunch flavor coffee, ma'am."
Sophie: "COFFEE DOES NOT COME IN ANY FLAVOR EXCEPT COFFEE FLAVOR!"
A pot of Kirkland Colombian Dark Roast was hastily brewed, and rumor has it that the NSC staffer responsible for the Maple Nut Crunch Coffee is being transferred to McMurdo in support of the Penguin Census...

Part of it is that she hates maple syrup; her preferred topping for pancakes, waffles, or French Toast is Adam's cinnamon butter and/or one of his berry toppings.
But she is a coffee purist. It is by will alone that she sets her mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shaking, the shaking becomes a warning.
It is by will alone that she sets her mind in motion.

Decided to be lenient on the miscreants I see.
Where in the process were they sent for remedial “We do not need a diabeetus production program” training?

Challenger Deep. It's a Navy run school.

What else are you going to call all the unnecessary sweetness, flavors and excess crap polluting the coffee stream?

Well, it's Santa Ana season in SoCal, with an absolute Godzilla fire in the Pacific Palisades being driven by 25 years of Los Angeles County mismanaging the urban-wildland interface and hurricane level winds.
March AFB is okay, but we're imposing a serious fire watch; the base wing and all tenant units have assigned personnel to rove all areas and ensure that if a fire gets started, it's reported and put out quickly. Riverside County has put an absolutely draconian ban on any open burning; you will get six months in County Jail and a $10,000 fine.
The winds were crazy yesterday evening; I'd say close to 40 knot gusts.
