Alternatives to Office 365 and Adobe acrobat

Can anybody recommend any good alternatives to Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat.I don't mind buying the programs but I hate subscriptions? Thanks for any suggestions

Depends on what you want to do with things? There are certain things that free alternatives do very, very well and certain things they don't. So what're the uses you need to put the software to?

Libreoffice works well enough for me, but I'd be lying if I said it was as good as MS office for the typical user.

Acrobat, the last place I worked switched to Foxit. At home I'm using Ashampoo PDF Pro. Ashampoo does make an Office alternative, but I don't use it.

MS Office 2024 sold a standalone non subscription version (MS Office Home and Business 2024), if you search for that you can still pick it up. I believe you can still find some of the older versions out there too.
