We used some special duct tape certified for 600 knots. Worked well.

speed tape...an aluminum tape that sticks well and is speed resistant...then there was "stronger than God" tape we used on Okinawa this stuff was like duct tape on steroids...when it was finally removed left a god awful residue that never came off.
