NOTES
1) The pre-war 34th Infantry Division was scheduled to deploy to Alaska in its entirety. Subsequent events along the US-Mexico border put a halt to those plans. With the bulk in the 6th Infantry Division in the field, the decision was made to begin moving the easily air transportable elements of the 34th Infantry Division to Alaska, where they would complete their post-mobilization training in theater.
