...Many, MANY years ago the CO at Great Lakes NRTC decided to stop playing the National Anthem before movies, claiming that audiences were misbehaving.

He was corrected. He was also directed to deploy Masters-At-Arms (hoping that's the right term) at every show to insure proper respect was shown.

Solved that issue PDQ, it did.
