The last Saturday in Spetember - for all the ABCs

Post by warshipadmin »

ABC=Anything but Collingwood. For the uninitiated my state has a public holiday for the day before a footie match.

My favourite ABC joke

Q Two Pies supporters in a car, one in the front , one in the back. There's no doof-doof music playing. Which one's driving?
A The cop.

Victoria also has a public holiday for the Melbourne Cup....

Further, for the uninitiated, AFL is somewhat of a state religion in Victoria, at least as it appears from my vantage point in Sydney.

It extends to SA and WA as well, only tempered a tad by the lack of teams in the GF, and Tassie, tempered by their isolation and two heads.

I’ll have a watch of some of the game, but only through idle interest.

Too nice a day to stay inside, I'll probably miss it entirely.

I did not watch it though I have never watched an entire AFL game. Much happier with a couple of Greg’S Areoplanes videos. The Short Sunderland and the B 32.

The rugby league GF today will be missed. Recently I have soured about watching sport on TV.

Maybe it has been a reaction to the WFH situation. I do not like WFH and work is seriously involved in the sport sector in a government sense. My game is Rugby Union yet I have not seen even a second of the current tournament.

Anyway, I see that the Pies won and there is a referee miscall outrage.

Simon, who does not think that Tasmanians’ have two heads …… or that in certain villages in the hinterlands of NSW there are 2, maybe 3 surnames and everyone has big heads?
