Depending on how involved Egypt wants to be, Cairo West Air Base might be a possibility. I know B-52s deployed there for Bright Star 1983.

Haven't thought about that: the war in the peripheries hasn't gotten much attention. But they would try to monitor-if not stop-tanker convoys using the Red Sea shipping lanes. Because I posted on my forum a photo of a Oman Fighter intercepting a Soviet ASW plane, and the only location that plane co...

Re: General Discussion thread.
Got some questions about the People's Republic of China. I take it they don't want the USSR to win, but they want the west to bleed for a while. Besides staging troops on the border and a few incidents, are they do anything to hinder the Soviets? I think answering that question requires a deeper di...

Because of course it's Boeing . . . I know and accept that certain things on military aircraft cost more than their commercial equivalent. I'm not entirely sure what version this is, so I'm sure there are errors in it. WHat date is best for the timeline? Re: Queen Charlotte: The Victor SSN Incident
Mark,
Couple questions for clarification:
1) So the actual Victor II wreck was on 16 May 2001?
2) Did we move the year of the Timor Massacre? Because your other story sets it in March 2000, but this one refers to it happening on 5 June 2002.

Point of clarification: Did the A-4M go back into production for new-builds? Or are you all just talking about rebuilds of older models? As for the A-4s for Australia: Fs upgraded to near-M standard in terms of avionics might be best. The Marines and AF would have first call on aircraft from any reo...
